Style Sheet for Book Interior Design – Print Editions

  1. Use the Garamond font, size 12.
  2. Do not indent the first line of a paragraph. Use a blank line between paragraphs.
  3. Use the template supplied by KDP. Unless otherwise directed, we use the 5” X 8” template
  4. The Table of COntents and all chapters must begin on the right-hand page even if there are only a few lines on the previous page.
  5. Order of contents as follows:
    1. Title, Subtitle, author on the first page
    2. Author, Copyright, Publisher logo, and ISBN on the next page
    3. About the Author
    4. Dedication
    5. Introduction (if any)
    6. Table of Contents
    7. Chapter 1, 2, and so on
      1. Chapter One must begin on page 1. Numbering pages can be challenge but it is imperative that the content begin on page one and that the table of contents designate page one as the beginning.
    8. Links to extra material (if any)
    9. Links to the publisher’s website, to the author’s website, to ThePracticalLeader.com, and others as indicated in the manuscript or as we may specify.
